Summary:   Good queens, of course, are the key to good, successful beekeeping.  In this presentation, we look at some of the methods and the economics of queen breeding on a small(ish) scale.  We hope to provide the information you need to decide if queen breeding is right for you and some tricks to help you suceed.

Bio:  For six decades, Ron Miksha has been messing with bees as a commercial beekeeper, hobbyist, educator, and researcher.  His more prideful accolades include "University Teacher of the Year" at the University of Calgary, applause from inmates taking Ron's Beginning Beekeeping course at the federal penitentiary in Alberta, and Directorship at the Alberta Native Bee Council.
